A Walk in East Kent
Ian and I decided to brave the cold winds today and go for a walk, as we need to get some exercise. We drove to Reculver at the top of East Kent (above Canterbury) with the two towers. It used to be a Roman garrison. Walked along the coast but it was freezing, although the sky was blue and sunny. Went to a nearby pub and had a very good coffee which warmed us up. Then drove on to St Nicholas at Wade where we did a one and half hour walk across fields and farmland. It was about half past two when we arrived back in the village and unfortunately the pub there had stopped doing lunch. Not too drastic as we had eaten a bag of crisps on the walk. Got home at about 3.45pm and had tea and blackberry muffin. Got smoked haddock for supper.
